How do I secure my website?SSL Certificate FAQ

DomainIT provides SSL certificates to secure your web site files.

Learn more here: https://www.domainit.com/hosting/ssl_certificates.mhtml

A benefit of our SSL Certificates is that you don't need to store secure files in a specific location or directory. Once your SSL Certificate is in place, all of your files will be secure. In order for your page to be secure and offer a secure connection, you will need to list the page with a secure URL (https).

Once you receive your SSL certificate, all you need to do is upload your files (both secure and non-secure) to your regular /public_html directory. The only thing that determines whether or not the data is delivered securely, is whether or not you use http or https in front of the url.

For example, if your secure page is named myorderform.html, you will upload the file to your /public_html directory. Then on your main page you would link to the following:

https://www.yourdomain.com/myorderform.html
